What happens before the treatment?
The first treatment is always preceded by a consultation, during which the doctor assesses whether the patient is suitable for the treatment, explains what kind of results can be expected, and gives information on excluding factors and contraindications. During the consultation, gynecological examination is also performed, which consists of tactual exploration and ultrasound examination. In addition, a cytological sample is also taken if the patient does not have a result from the past six months.
During the consultation, the doctor provides all the information regarding the intimate laser treatment. If any questions occur later, our patient coordinator can help, either in person or on the phone.
How is the treatment done?
The treatment is done on a gynecological examination table. The laser treatment is performed under local anesthesia, you do not have to expect pain, but it might feel hot. After the anesthesia, we apply the laser head into the vagina. The treatment takes about 25 minutes.
After the treatment, neither bleeding nor pain is probable, therefore, we do not need to calculate with a recuperation period, the patient can immediately get back to her daily life. After a week, the patient might even return to her sexual life, as well.
The second and third treatment can be done 4-6 weeks following the previous one.
