Tip rhinoplasty

The nose is one of the most dominant and protruding parts of the face, and as such, has a major impact on its character.
By about the age of 18, the final form of the nose takes shape. It can cause frustration, but if the shape and size of the nose is not in harmony with the rest of the face, it can even lead to confidence loss and escalate to a complex.
With tip rhinoplasty, the shape of the nose tip can be modified, and we can create the ideal harmony of the face.

How does tip rhinoplasty happen?

The surgery is preceded by a consultation with the doctor. During the consultation, the preparation before the surgery, and the treatment afterwards are both discussed, as well as the patient's ideas about the desired outcome.

The fine structure which provides the shape of the nose is made up of two connected, crooked cartilages and the cartilaginous end of the nasal septum. During a tip rhinoplasty, we change these cartilaginous parts using a meticulous technique. The doctor performing the surgery removes the parts responsible for the deformation from the cartilaginous frame of the nose, and then reshapes the tip of the nose.

We perform the intervention in such a way that apart from aesthetic aspects, we also keep in mind the importance of the basic function of the nose. Contrary to full rhinoplasty, in the case of tip rhinoplasty, the bony parts of the nose are not chiseled off. The surgery takes about 2 hours.
After the reformation, we stabilize the achieved condition using a cast or adhesive strips.

What needs to be done after a tip rhinoplasty?

Removal of the stitches takes place 7 days after the surgery. According to the consultation with the doctor, in the 4 weeks following the surgery, a considerate lifestyle is advised.
