Removal of skin tags with laser

Removal of skin tags with laser

The removal of fibromas with laser is totally risk-free, yet effective.

What is a skin tag?

Skin tags are tiny nubs on the skin. They are not caused by a virus, nor are they the consequence of diabetes. Certain metabolic conditions, such as obesity and insulin resistance, increase the likelihood of a higher number of skin tags. Usually, they are on the crooks of the body, but they can appear anywhere on the skin.

When is it necessary to remove skin tags with laser?

Their presence does not mean any risks; however, it is advisable to get them removed for various reasons:

  • Due to aesthetic causes
  • They protrude from the skin, so they can easily be in the way
  • Their injury is accompanied by bleeding. In such cases, the skin tag might become inflamed, painful, or it can even fall off.
  • It is better to have them removed by a doctor, within the framework of a scheduled appointment, putting emphasis on sterility and anesthetization.

How does the removal itself work?

The most precise tools are the surgical electrocauter and the laser.

These procedures require anesthetization.

At Downtown Medical Center, we use an anesthetic cream before the removal of skin nubs. It takes 20-30 minutes to reach the full effect of the cream, which makes it possible to remove an unlimited number of skin tags during the appointment. At Downtown Medical Center, we have specialists who are accomplished in diagnosing various skin nubs and also skin-surgeon specialists who can remove them.
