Dermatological allergy test

Dermatological Epicutan allergy test

During the dermatological allergy test, we examine the reaction of the skin to various materials that are found in our environment and are prone to induce allergic reactions. These are plastered to the back of the patient, then short-term skin reactions are checked after 20, 40 and 60 minutes. After that, the patient wears the plasters for two days, then they are removed and the skin is checked again. The checking process is repeated 3 more times. After the last checking, patients are informed verbally and in written form about what materials to avoid and how. The standard epicutan test is compiled and actualized by an international specialist committee.
